Frisco/Plano Outdoor Shoot Suggestions - 06-15-2005, 10:46 AM

I'm going to be doing a shoot with a couple this weekend and due to limited schedules, we need to stick around the Plano/Frisco area. Any suggestions from anyone regarding a good location. I have a park or two in mind,(Russell Creek Park with the pond or the park on Bethany and Alma) but anyone else have better alternatives? We'll be doing this early on Sunday so I don't think they'll be crowded.

Thanks.

I believe there is a REALLY NICE dog park in West Plano - they have a creek and a bridge and lots of foliage..... There's Woodruff park in East Plano.... Depending upon what is in season, there are ALWAYS tons of awesome looking flowers and trees etc.... over at the Collin County campus off of Spring Creek in Plano.

...just a few.

Plano Park - 06-15-2005, 12:23 PM

There is a wonderful small park (Haggard Park) right next to the Plano DART station for taking people photos. (Take 15th street east from 75.)

It has a gazebo as well as a bridge that goes over some water.

You might want to look at The Shops of Legacy area at the Dallas Tollway and Legacy Drive. It offers a variety of Architectural backgrounds such as a scenic fountain/pond with a hardscape terrace and the Marriott Hotel.

Thanks for the suggestions! - 06-16-2005, 11:52 AM

I visited the dogpark and there's potential there (those powerlines will need photoshop if you take a wide shot though). Need to check out shops at legacy (i've been there but not for any picture opportunities) and see what angles would be good.

Thanks.

I just copleted a restaurant project (Nicola's) at the Shops of Legacy (a life style ourdoor mall) and it does offer some very unique photo ops.

I would suggest very very early, better chace of no cars in the parking spaces or the evenings. The locals return from work (there are apt above the shops) and the outdoor cafe's fill-up, lots of hussle and bussle...

Nicola's is on my list of restaurants to try next! Really like Naan and Jaspers over in that area. I live 5 min away from Shops at Legacy so I'm there at least once every 2 weeks.
