Arlington Highlands - 05-29-2007, 07:18 AM

Went out and did a bit of shooting last night. I've been to the newly constructed Arlington Highlands (I-20 and Matlock in Arlington) a few times and love the old-town feel that they have constructed into the place. There's a new movie theater there called Studio Movie Grill that is pretty colorful on the outside. I went there the other night to watch the new Pirates of the Carribean movie and noticed how some of the neon reflected off of some of the water in the landscaping. Anyways, here ya go...

The first one is sweet shot with the reflection, and it's nicely exposed. I really like night photography, and it can be pretty difficult to get just right (I plan to try a nighttime HDR soon). Good job, Wes!

Thanks, John! I did a 4-exposure bracketed shot last night with the intention of trying to do an HDR. I'm not real happy with Photoshop's merge to HDR function so I'm going to see if Debbi and combine them in Photomatix.

Thanks for the feedback!

Actually, the first one had already been straightened. I guess I didn't get it just right. I'll play with it a bit more.

Looks good to me. I like the reflection and the colors in the first one. Good job Wes.
