Where in the western part of DFW area are there good fields of wildflowers that are not in the middle of a median or next to a freeway where you can take photographs? I would be interested in Irving/Grand Praire and west.

Thanks

There are a bunch of flowers along the road that goes around Lake Benbrook. From the intersection of IH-20 and US377 follow 377 southwest about 3 miles. On the left you will see some ball diamonds. There is also a YMCA there.

Here is a link:

There are a lot of flowers along the roads that go around the park. Not a ton of traffic and the flowers are well off the road. I have shot a couple of races there and took some flower shots while I was waiting around.

Wildflowers in DFW????? - 06-04-2007, 01:25 PM

Thanks

Since this was the only reply, I will try to check out this area in the next week. I have driven around some, but most that I see in the DFW area is right next to the freeway or worse, in the median. I am sure there are some other spots that might be nice so I may have to do a little more driving around and spend that gas money!
