indoor locations for bridal shoot in dallas? - 06-22-2007, 03:40 PM

I have a bridal shoot tomorrow in Dallas, and this is the only weekend she can do it. We were planning on going to the aurboretum, but it looks like it might rain. She is from Austin and I'm from Denton, so neither one of us know a last minute indoor place we could shoot. Any suggestions? Thanks guys.

You could shoot at the Gaylord in Grapevine if the bride is willing to pay the fee. I think it is $175.00, but you get a room for changing and make-up and a private escort that can get you into places normally off limits. If I were going to be in town you could rent my studio.

There are meeting rooms at the arboretum with windows to the courtyard...call them and ask about availablity. Hotel lobbies seem a natural, but some want you to be a registered guest, so check room rates. Otherwise, there are 2 studios near that part of town, Light Tec(Dallas), and Archinald Camera Repair (Richardson). Archinald is a sponsor here. The Photographers (Denton) may also have studio time available...contact Don Barnes Bondarnes.

He just posted while I was posting...guess Don's is out...

Otherwise...bump!

I have a bride that wanted to do her birdals at the Gaylord, so we called over there to get prices (I was informed by Erin that they charged $500 which the bride would have paid) but they have raised the price to $1500. She said we would get a changing room and someone to escort us around for the 4 hours. I'm guessing they don't want us to do bridals there.

When I was planning my wedding, I ran across someone's pics that were taken at the Meyerson. They were wonderful.

Take a look

Myerson looks beautiful, I would love to just take pictures of the place itself. Where is it located? Can you just take pictures there when ever?

I *think* the myerson is $150 and has to be scheduled in advance.... could be worth the shot to give them a call though... good luck, it's so hard to find a reasonably priced indoor location here :0( I've had some luck with college campuses, namely the Fort Worth Baptist Seminary and TCU, but it's hit or miss.

I have no idea how much they charge or how you go about booking it.

Sorry :(

Zac. I went there for a concert once, and of course I had my camera. This is a picture of my girlfriend (at the time). It turned out pretty nice. No one cared that we were taking picture, but it wasn't a full blown shoot, and we had no lights.

The meyerson would be nice though. I'll look into that. Still don't know what the weather is gonna do. She's getting her hair done at 4, I planed the shoot for around 6-8 for the best lighting.

We have had rain here off and on for a while, but rain all day is not too likely- I'd head to the Arboretum anyway if that was the plan. This time of year, your enemy will be sweat, not rain, and any clouds will be very welcome.

I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by,
and then it petered out and I had to retrace my steps and wasted half a day.

Cute girl. I think we should do a get-together at the meyerson. Looks like a very fun place.
