They don't really specify about cameras. Learned about the "press pass" the hard way at a Mavs game.

Are you asking about the feasibility of taking photo equipment into a specific ballpark?

Rangers Ballpark in Arlington ?

CAMERA AND VIDEO EQUIPMENT
Cameras and video equipment are permitted in Rangers Ballpark. However, flash photography, video reproductions and equipment that might interfere with another guest's enjoyment of the game are prohibited

Wow...that's it? For some reason I thought they didn't allow 'professional cameras'...good thing to know a dslr with a 500mm is (probably) ok!

Just got back from the game.

Walked in with a Micro Trekker 200 full of gear. Little to no check at all.

My four year old was at his first game so very little shooting, but they don't seem to care much.

No Monsters, they are just on the wish list, but my 18-200 VR, and my cheapie 70-300.

They did not bat an eye, but I was very passive in what little I shot. They had to have seen me well from my seat. Very different from when the SWAT Team pounced on me the one time I had floor seats at a Mavs game with my D70s.
