PHOTO CHALLENGE: Rain Rain Go Away.... - 06-27-2007, 04:19 PM

This rain lately is just crazy. Instead of letting it get us all depressed, I think we need a PHOTO CHALLENGE!

Post your best/favorite/funniest/etc picture of the rain/flood/stormy weather.

There is a particular place not far from my house that I want to get a shot of when the flood waters are raging through. This time last year, this same spot was but a trickle. I'll see what I can do.

Photos from camp - 06-27-2007, 05:03 PM

Here are a couple of "too much rain" .. last week I was at our church camp and the "creek" became a "river".. four days later we had 15 who were baptized .. of course, it was a LOT calmer!

The other photo is what you do when there is too much rain and kids with lots of energy.. we had a great time...

Amy.. I noticed you were from Fort Worth.. and your last name was Brown... we had a set of triplets .. last name was Brown too... that were baptized.... they were from Grapevine.. not to far from you I think!

I just joined this forum and I look forward to the time here!

Well, shoot. The area is closed due to flooding. Imagine that.

Rusty... (that's my brother's name too)... the creek is next to a very small church camp near Ada, OK.. I don't even think it has a name... I have been going to that camp for about 18 years and this is the first time I have seen it raging like this!

This one is still a favorite of mine:

And this one was taken around the 3rd of July of 2004.. when Joe Pool Lake was 8 feet above normal:

Nothing exciting, but I was so mesmerized by the rain a few weeks ago I just sat on my back patio and watched... and snapped a few...

I'm not so mesmerized anymore. My back yard is a swamp, and my pool has overflowed 4 times... and filled with mud from the planters around it. If anyone ever needs advice on how to remove mud from their pool... I'm getting to be a pro!
