I went up to Texoma on Saturday with a few friends to get pictures of the water coming over the spillway. This would be the first time since 1990 and only the fourth time since the dam was built. Unfortunately, it was only cresting a bit over the spillway on Saturday (peak was supposed to be Monday). However, there was also a controlled release of water at the same time which we got pictures of as well (60,000 cubic feet per second if I remember correctly).
Here are some of the pictures I took. There are only basic PP edits at this time. I appreciate any comments and constructive criticism.
Spillway from the Texas side, a short slog upo a muddy hill

The dot in the center of the photo in the sky is an Army Corp of Engineers Helicopter
Parking area under water with just the roof of a building visible
The road leading below the spillway to the parking area. I used a Polarizer from a friend here
Channel 10 (Ada, OK?) was here and interviewed our group
Controlled release from the dam
Close-up view of the release. The roar of the water was surprising
Playing in the "waves". It was a good thing the rails were there IMHO
