Anyone know this locale? - 07-11-2007, 11:10 AM

These are not my pictures...but were sent to me by a client wanting to shoot an engagement session at this locale. Anyone know where it is???????

Client believes it is in Richardson and suggested Prairie Creek, but it does not look like this to my knowledge? She would like to shoot on Saturday...and I am lost on this one .

Thanks Much,

W

I have never been to Prairie Creek so I can't help there, but RHS Eagles is Richardson High School and it would seem logical that group photos would be taken geographically close.

I think RHS is Rowlett High School. There colors are maroon, navy, and white. I would check waterview neighborhood but that is just a guess. Good Luck.

and btw Rowlett High mascot is the eagles.

I didn't think about the colors being different. Richardson is Purple and Gold. Good catch.

This just goes to show that only one animal per school per state would be a good rule.

Don't forget the fighting Lampasas Badgers, pound for pound the most ferocious animal on the north american continent.

If you go to the search field and type in Prairie Creek, there will be several helpful threads talking about the location I believe.

I know, I know! I am excited that all of the planning that went into my wedding can help someone else!

I can't remember the name of the building, but I can tell you how to get there. This little fountain area is located around an office building in Richardson. On the access road (going south) between Renner and Campbell, there is a street you can take called Palisades. There are a couple of streets that run in crazy directions, but there are basically two very tall buildings on either side of the street. The main part of the fountain area is located around the building that lies the furthest North. I know all of this because my mom used to work in this building. It used to say US DATA on the top of the building. There is a restaurant on the first floor of this building that does weddings and receptions, but the good thing is that you can take pics around the fountain for free.

My prom pics were taken there.

I'll search around the internet and see if I can find the website for the restaurant. If I remember correctly, they have pics of the location on the website. I'll repost if I find more info.

Kelly is correct. This location is behind the parking garage for the Pallisades I office building at 2435 N. Central Expressway. It's the 18 story glass building, the tallest building in the area so you can't miss it. Access it from Collins Drive by taking Pallisades or the easiest way is to get to it coming south from Renner Road on the southbound frontage road for Hwy 75. The Swan Court Restaurant is on the first floor and there is guest parking in front or on the street. Go through the lobby, jog to the left and you'll find the "stream". There is more than one waterfall and other nice locations. With all the rain, everything is green and gorgeous right now. I work in the building.

Cool location.

Is the outside open to public? or gated/restricted area?

Well...I do know they are a wedding venue...so...I'm not sure it would open to the public...of course...sometimes a little splashing around afterhours isn't unheard of!

Swan Court is the location of the montly DPPA Meeting. I'd make sure it is ok to use the location as I've heard it is not.
