Go about three hours north on IH-30 then hang a left toward the Ouachita Mountains.

Really it depends on what type of photos you are taking.. there are some good trails at lake wright patman. I normally go there to go bird watching and if you catch the right day there is a runway field near the spillway where some people fly their gas powered stunt planes. If you have a good telephoto they can be fun to shoot.

I shoot a Bridal at the Union Station its being renovated now but you might try to get in there great old building and its right in front of railroad tracks.
