Cedar Ridge Preserve - 07-25-2007, 06:11 PM

A few shots taken at Cedar Ridge Preserve in SW Dallas area over the past two weekends. A great place to hike in DFW area with many birds and wildflowers. Terrain is hilly on many of the trails, so often, it is more like the Hill Country.

Great photos. Did you use a polarizer for the water shots.

I used a two stop ND filter at 200ISO on my D70s allowing a 5 second exposure.

Great shots, that's in my backyard so I suppose I should get over there sometime.

Nice job, Mark. I commented on these on your flckr site, and they're equally good here. You just keep getting better and better!

Nice shots!

This is my favorite haunt for hikes and wildflowers. I'm there at least 3 times a week for a hike.

Thanks for the complements. There are really some nice photo opportunities there. Just watch for spider webs and mosquitoes. For early morning and late afternoon visits, make sure you have some deet or other insect repellant.
