queston on upcoming airshow....

not sure if this is the right place but here it goes.

im gunna be coming to dallas/fort worth for a blue angels air show in october. im tryin to find a hotel next to or close the where the air field is, but im not sure which air field there are gunna be at.

so my question is has anyone on this forum been to previous shows and where was it located at?

I was there last year. The airport is on the west side of I-35W and south of 114 and north of 287.

I don't care a lot for this particular air show venue (but I'll prolly go because the Blue Angels will be there) because it is (like so many others) set up where you shoot to the west and that's not a good thing, when the Blue Angels are performing around 3:00 PM and you're shooting towards the sun.

If you have a hard time finding any info on close hotels you may want to look at Texas Motor Speedways website to see if they have any info on hotels.

Alliance airport is about 5 minutes away from TMS.

A couple of the major chains are located on I-35W in the Alliance area. I'm sorry I did not make note of which ones however. I'd just check the major ones for their locations.

Also, Denton is only about 15 miles or so north of Alliance, and a very easy drive on I-35W.

Just an FYI in case you might not know -- Alliance is located on I-35W. I-35E is on the Dallas side of the metro-mess.

And just to make everything totally confusing...I-35E and I-35W, both run north and south.

Plus, I 35W runs to Minneapolis,,,,,, almost....
