What a wonderful day. Got in to Houston 2:00am. IT WAS SO WORTH IT. I loved meeting everyone. Photographers, models, lucky bistanders, and even the patient traffic were so incredibly awesome. I can't say enough how great the locations were. Thank you, Thank you. WOW This was the best B-Day ever.
Next, weekend there will be a Trash the Dress in Galveston (Houston thread) if anyone didnt get enough. I will be posting soon. | | | | | Sponsored Links | Premium Members do not see Google advertisements. SIGN UP today and help support our community.

Happy Birthday Chris. I am glad that you made it!
So I guess the consensus is that it was a good thing I twisted Tabitha's arm into attending yesterday? j/k. Tabitha had a lot of fun yesterday; we both did.
I can't stress how wonderful these images were. If Miguel Clarke Photography can ever do anything to support these models let me know. Folks, let me tell you that most models were like the 8th one who showed up yesterday. She said, you want me to wear what? Then she left.
Of the 7 who remained, we poked, prodded and directed these women for hours yesterday. They got greeted with mostly "Hey, you! Can you...?" (We forgot to call them Renee, Jill, Lauren, Deanna, Miranda, Britny or Heather while we were shooting them. SORRY!) They rarely got to chimp and see the awesome images we were shooting. I was hungry, thirsty and tired by the end. So were they and they were still beautiful right on down to the very end. In my book a mere "thank you" does not cut it. I look forward to the next time I get to work (I mean play) with you all again.

I sent and email to those we pulled off the street and out of the bars and photographed yesterday to say thank you. Bill must have been on his computer and here is the response: It was my pleasure, Janice. Can't remember when I had so much fun. I can't believe that all those girls were using their real wedding gowns. They were all good sports, too. I look forward to getting all the cd's so I can prove to my friends that I wan't lying about what happened.

Hey Everyone!! Thanks so much for letting my friends and I come out! It was definitely an experience we will never forget! I am so excited to see the finished photos! You were all very welcoming and sweet to some VERY unexperienced models!
Special thanks to Tabitha and Miguel! Thanks for making me feel like I actually looked beautiful!! Hopefully you are still in the area by the time I get married!!

First rate organization! Janice, thanks do not go without saying. Just the size of the undertaking was immense and basically single-handed! And, you took all the unexpected in stride and saw to details along the way. There were many interesting stories, but, "what goes on at a shoot, stays at the shoot!" I can tell you, we picked up a perfect gentleman (who looked like a street bum), a biker (who was rugged but also the consumate gentleman), and a rock band who was more than cooperative (they really looked young...but that's probably just me). It was controlled chaos, and you handled it all well.
Our MUA today was excellent! I loved the treatments I saw. They were not over-done, and she was attending to detail thru the entire shoot. Janice, I need her name, because she was great!
The models were delightful! While one took one look at her dress and flaked, the others were all troopers and will get a referral from me, any day. This was NOT an easy gig! It was long, it was dry, and it was very challenging at the last location. Even the girliest (her words, not mine) took on a terrain that would have required a basket and rope rescue had there been a mistep.
Which brings us to the photogs. Polite to a fault. Watching for safety for the models, each others, bystanders, and property. Trying to let others take their shots, hold reflectors, watch for traffic, hazards, etc. The Dallas Finest drove past many times and never stopped once. A lot of creativity being shared, too. This was a great learning opportunity for on-location inspiration.
Now, for the forum's critiques...I think ALL of us are looking forward to the posts and the feedback! | I couldn't have said it better myself. A huge thanks to each of you for making 3 three outsiders feel most welcome. It was a long hard day for us (6:30 am to 2:00 am) But your hospitality and patience was well worth the drive from SouthEast Houston! I loved that you were all so willing to help out newbies when I feel sure our questions were annoying
To the Models - you guys were outstanding. I'm not sure we could have had a better group if we tried. Thanks again for being so patient and willing - if one of you is ever in the Houston area, feel free to let me know and we can find some great places to go play around with pictures here!
Thanks again everyone!!! It was so great that I wont think twice about driving to Dallas again for a meetup! | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
