Anyone up for a Trash the Dress?

I really want to put together a Trash the Dress shoot, but I don't really know any pretty brides in the area who are willing to ruin their dress, so I'm basically planning on buying a cheap wedding dress and hiring a model from Model Mayhem or OMP. I want to make it a pretty lengthy affair, perhaps take her through some parts of downtown, maybe find a nice old abandoned warehouse or something, and then head to a lake or pond or something around sunset to get her nice and soaked.

I know a lot of people have been itching so try this so I'd like to make it a group thing, but before I put it all together...

1) How many of you are interested?

2) How many of you would be willing to pay a small fee (maybe $20 or so, or we could just figure up the costs and split it evenly between everyone who shows up) to help cover the cost of the dress, the model's time, and hair/makeup?

3) What dates are best for everyone? I was thinking a Sunday afternoon/early evening in late September, possibly the 23 or 30.

4) Does anyone have access to a) a cute modern wedding dress that you would be willing to let us trash, b) a drop dead gorgeous model who would be up for something like this, or c) a hair and/or makeup artist who would do something for us cheaply?

We have decided to do the session on Sunday, September 30 from 2-7 PM. We will all meet for lunch somewhere at 1, then start taking photos around downtown at 2. Around 4-5 we will head to Lake Grapevine for some beach shots until sunset at 7:15. We will try to have at least two, maybe three, models there so we can split up into groups if people want to try different things.

We have not determined cost yet but I will try to keep it as low as possible.

Stacy..count me in!!! I would love to do that:
1. i guess the "Count me IN" answered the qns
2. I'd be willing to pay about $20-40 for the session...or whatever cost turns out to be, as long as it's not costing me an arm or leg
3. 30th works better for me
4. I have a friend who might sell her wedding dress for a lower price, but she's so tiny, i think it's a size 0 or 2.....and it's a two piece
I know a lady who does bridal make up, let me check with her on pricing

You might want to check your local resale shops for a (relatively) inexpensive wedding dress to trash.

I would be in, I just did the one down in Surfside and it was a blast. I would love to do another one... Saturdays are better for me because of the drive, but could do a sunday without too much of a problem..

Shoot, I'd be up for this too. Matt (Roadrnr) maybe we could carpool. I know a guy in Taylor that would probably be game also. 30th works best for me. I have a wedding on the 22nd.
