Llittle clarrification:

They won't "arrest" you...they will issue a ticket for criminal tresspass.

This is a really old thread, but some just never die.

The Canals are played. If you need such a location to be creative, it's time to post your gear for sale on eBay. (This isn't aimed at anybody in particular, I'm just over the Canals).

That's weird. I shot a bridal there last week. The security people were right there. They talked to me, knew I was shooting- clearly. Even pointed out another photographer who had a permit. They said "you can shoot here all day for free. You just can't have an event here". They were referring to a couple who was trying to put together a wedding there. Very odd.

Oh I'm not worried about it Don...lol. I personally love the canals. I think they are beautiful, even if over-used. I'd gladly pay the $50 to shoot there. That's not bad at all.
