Grapevine Lake Erosion - 08-25-2007, 10:22 PM

So I went to Grapevine Lake tonight in hopes to capture another great sunset with my new lens. I got a couple and decided to post this one at the moment. My hotspot for taking previous sunsets is now occupied by high water levels, and it's really amazing to see how high those water levels have been.

Anyhoo, details are HDR b/w, 10mm, AP, F14'ish. I'm not too happy that the foreground came out a bit blurry... but it WAS handheld.

c/c welcome!

Very nice shot. I really like the treatment on it. What lens are you shooting at 10mm? I'm guessing either the canon 10-22 or the sigma 10-20, yeah? At f/14 it shouldn't be that soft around the edges, but barrel distortion will do that occasionally.

I shoot the Sigma 10-20, btw and notice it occasionally.

Sigma 10-20.

This was the first time I really shot with the lens. I'll have to do some sort of sharpness test and hope that it isn't consistent. Thanks for the comment!
