Polish F-16 with the Canon 40D - 08-30-2007, 05:50 PM

Just got the camera today at Arlington Camera. Adobe has yet to release an update to include the 40D for RAW compatability. . .hopefully that will be soon. This was edited on Canon image software and I was not really use to it. . .

Rub it in Keith...

Just kidding. Looked at the large version, that's a sharp image, very nice.

Have you shot any high ISO stuff yet?

Thanks for posting.

So, how do you like the camera so far? I'm thinking about getting one. Cool pic!

well. . .being as I have only had it for 5 hours now and only taken a few shots. . .I like it. The LCD on the back is huge. The AF seems very fast and accurate, at least faster than my 30D. I think the real test will be when I shoot some dimly lit high school football tomorrow night.

Be sure and post the pics so we can see. I would love having the larger LCD.

Where did you shoot these? I recognize some of the markings on those F16s.

Good luck with that... Adobe is on a somewhat fixed cycle updating camera RAW. When the Nikon D200 came out, I waited a couple of months before it was supported. I strongly suggest learning how to use the Canon software or chose one of the other RAW converters that supports new cameras quicker.

I'm preparing for an even longer wait on the Nikon D3 since it's an entirely new sensor. I may shoot tif images in the interim. The D300 folks will have a wait too...

Enjoy your new toy and you can always shoot jpgs!
