Me and my wife might be there. We'll be in the area and have other things we're doing, so if we have time, we'll swing by. We'll be in a white Acura CL.

Hey guys!

Sorry I was not there. My dad and little sister surprised us by flying in, and we had a b-day party for my aunt at 6. Did not find out till late in the day. It was fun, but would have liked to be out shooting. It has been to long since I did some night time work.

Hope we can get together another times.

jason

Well, this sums up the garage situation. We did get a few pictures from on top of the garage until we were kicked off. I wrote company who owns these garages and this is what they said:

Quote:
Sundance Square has a photo shoot form that we require photographers to complete and submit to our Director of Marketing, Tracy Gilmour. If your request is approved, we will fax you back the form to bring with you during your shoot. However, we do not ever approve photo shoots on the tops of our parking garages or buildings. If the photography is shot on city sidewalk areas then insurance is not required. It is required if you shoot anywhere on Sundance Square property.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

...its better to play ignorant and snap quick photos as you come and go......photograghing is not the issue here....it sounds like it is but its about "loitering" and "liability"....walking to the edge of the top floor as you leave and enter to snap a picture hardly constitutes a violation of their rules, though they do have the right to limit or deny your "assumption"......photography is not connected to their policy....

IMO their use of the term "photo shoot" implies a full blown production of models, lights, crew, etc. Meeting a few buddies for a couple of photographs does not constitute a "photo shoot" I understand it is their position but it is just plain stupid.
