Frisco RoughRiders - 09-06-2007, 12:05 PM

Is anyone here familiar with the ploicies about what type of camera (and / or bags) are allowed into Dr. Pepper ball park? How about lens size?

I've got tickets to tonights game and having searched the Dr. Pepper ballpark web page, see no mention of cameras at all.

Can anyone confirm I can get my Mark III and 300 f/4 in without an issue?

Thanks!

We had a GTG out there one time and all of us had our DSLR's out and shooting. No one said anything. I don't remember if anyone had a 300 F/4 but I wouldn't think it would be an issue.

I would be highly surprised at any restrictions. I know several who go there routinely and have BIG GLASS.

It's usually easier to ask forgiveness than to get permission.

I have never had a problem. Even with a monopod and all my gear. I could even go anywhere in the stadium I wanted (within reason) to take shots and no one said a word about it.

Thanks for all the replies.

I know the season is ending (or will have ended with one more loss.) But for anyone wanting to go next year, I can now confirm this is a VERY photographer friendly place. I took my full bag in without issue and was able to walk around and shoot anywhere in the stadium that was "public".

Here is a link to some photos I took at a recent roughrider game. I took my Canon 20D with a 70-200mm F4 lens with me. No one said anything.
