Addison Airport 50th Anniversary (56K warning) - 09-11-2007, 12:06 PM

Well, it's taken me a while to process these photos from July 3rd before Kaboom town but I guess better late than never!

I'd like to thank Davidtxs for the use of the back of his truck. All pictures were taken with a 100-400 lens and processed thru Lightroom with a side trip to Noise Ninja. I think I am getting the hang of the flow.

Constructive comments and criticism are more than welcomed.

Better late then never, Paul, looks good.

For grins & giggles, since we where standing in the same pickup bed, here's the shot you took vs. mine. Also shows the difference between a 70-200+1.4x vs your 100-400.

Interesting.

Also, it is neat to see how someone else processed similar images. For example,on the last one, I am lighter overall - I'll have to go look at the raw again as I don't remember if it was that dark in my photo.

Here is my raw with only resizing

20D | 1/400 | F5.6 | ISO 1600 | 400mm | Evaluative Metering

I just adjusted the brightness to see the airplane more clearly. Though your raw is darker as well but I assume due to the metering.

Here is what I did with a different edit. Let me know which you prefer - the original post or this one.

These are really nice. I missed this event. I heard that there are two A6 Texans and a Stearman at the Arlington Airport through Wednesday available for rides and of course photos. Has anyone been there to check it out???
