Is this an HDR? If not, man what dynamic range.

Well my camera is equipped with a 1000 megasquirtle light sensitive array with a megakilo double widget interface and a pseudo-terrafilter. its got 2 million hexafurtles with a 10 kiloplex and a rechargeable virtual combo-backplate. i also fitted an optical fillyfangle with predictive threshold histogram monitoring. it also has a light sensitive light meter and a time sensitive shutter mechanism.

I like the shot. I wonder how it would flow though, if you rotated the start so it pointed at 12 o'clock? It wouldn't be photo journalism, but would be more artistic. I think the lines would flow better, but I'm not sure it would lead the eye down?

Thanks for the comments!

Andyz, I think based on the distortion moving the start would be a bit of a challenge. I like the idea, but I'm not entirely sound on doing things that didn't happen in the photo. Subjective opinion of course, but I guess that's where I draw the line in how much manipulation should be done.

Christmas at the Gaylord - 09-14-2007, 07:56 PM

You should see it at Christmas time. It'll be tough to avoid crowds, but man do they deck the halls! Thousands of white lights hanging from that ceiling.

Funny you should mention that. The ONLY shots I have of that place were at Christmas time:

Very well done HDR, Roland.

I'm still trying to figure out how you got that particular, excellent perspective.

If it helps, tripod low to the ground at 10mm angled up to capture the building and glass roof.
