my new camera - 09-18-2007, 07:11 PM

Sorry had to share with some other people who would understand my excitement. I just got in my new camera a SonyA100 (didn't want to wait on the A700 plus the price difference right now). I ordered the 500mm f8 and the 50mm f1.4 lens from sony and a tamron 18-250mm. Well the 50mm was on back order not sure when that will come and the 18-250mm wont be here till tomorrow but here is a shot with the 500mm on there. I plan to go out and play around with it once the battery is charged but that wont be till tomorrow since its almost already dark.

Is that one of them mirror lenses that uses a mirror to make stuff bigger? I've heard about those. I still don't see how light enters the thing without a big hole or dot in the image.

Well my camera is equipped with a 1000 megasquirtle light sensitive array with a megakilo double widget interface and a pseudo-terrafilter. its got 2 million hexafurtles with a 10 kiloplex and a rechargeable virtual combo-backplate. i also fitted an optical fillyfangle with predictive threshold histogram monitoring. it also has a light sensitive light meter and a time sensitive shutter mechanism.

After dark is when some of my best images are done.

When I was on the way home with my first digital camera that would go to ISO 3200, a Canon 10D, I think, I made the mistake of taking a picture while I was stopped at a traffic signal. It was nothing really, just messing around. It was a picture of nothing, just the cars in the intersection while I was stopped. When I saw the display, I realized a new world was opening for me. I could now see in the dark. I didn't get home until 3AM. The only reason I stopped then was I ran the battery dry.

But all he had available today was the 500 F8.. That might be a little tough to work with at night especially at a stop light. LOL

LOL i love shooting in the dark but when i have to be up at 5am for work i tend to crash when the sun goes down during the week. I get enough time to come home eat workout then go to sleep. The 18-250 came in today and i plan to get out and shoot some stuff tomorrow i just wish my tamrac bag had come in today so i felt a little safer carrying around the camera in the work truck.
