Anyone going Saturday (Oct 20) or Sunday (Oct 21)? I was there last year. It was alright!

Bring a chair and a trusty umbrella (it was reallllllly hot last year). But the lighting was reasonable.

Nio Coolers, drinks 0r food! - 09-18-2007, 09:06 PM

They are apparently not allowing coolers in this year...........

Leave unnecessary gear at home.

No food, drinks, coolers of any kind, alcoholic beverages, pets, bicycles, skate boards, scooters or in-line skates allowed on the grounds, including the parking areas. In addition to water bottles available for purchase, there will be water on-site available at no charge.

Feel free to bring lawn chairs and umbrellas.

My plan is to shoot the show at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls on Saturday, then do the Alliance show on Sunday. Sheppard is great because the crowd line faces east so you're not shooting into the sun after 1pm like you will be at Alliance (which faces west).

Midland/Odessa Air Show - 09-20-2007, 02:36 AM

Anyone going to the FINA & Commemorative Air Force Air Show in Midland/Odessa on Sept 29 and 30th. http://www.airsho.org/ It is a long way to travel from DFW but it is worth it. It is a great set up as well. The crowd in on the West side looking East and the show lasts for 4 hours with current military aircraft along side the old vintage planes as well. Check out who will be there at http://www.airsho.org/airsho-performers/index.html

At Alliance they probably will. I have found that shows at military bases are free, otherwise shows will charge.
