O'Riely National Dragraces This Weekend

Anyone going to Texas Motorplex this weekend? The wife and I are headed out Saturday Morning. If anyone is intrested in meeting up shoot me an e-mail.

I will be there on Sunday. I hope the weather forcast is wrong.

Bill, Janice & I are planning on going on Saturday. I was thinking we'd get there mid-day as I'd really like to see the Top Fuel and Nitro qualifying. Janice didn't want to stay all day since the forecast is hotter. We shoot Canon so there should be at least one white lens, maybe 2. I'm not sure if I'm shooting my 70-300 or the 400. I'm thinking the 400 is probably too much and Janice will probably shoot the 70-200.

I was there once in March and shot from the stands. Do you have any idea what access we'll have to shoot?

if you have a pit pass you can shoot all you want in the pits as far as the track goes you wont be able to get closer tham about 75 ft or so you have to stay behind the fence and its a pretty good ways from the track the shot below was shot from the handicap stand which is at the end of the north stands at the bottom it was with a 600mm that will give you an idea the second one was from trackside you can see the fence in the background
that 400 will be a bugger to lug around all day lol
