I did not make it to the Plano Balloon Festival this year, but due to the prevailing winds I did not have to - they came to me !! This shot is one of the balloons that passed over my house Saturday evening. It is a "HDR-like" shot, I used PS to adjust the exposure on the one shot to get the blue sky. I like catching the moon in the background.

How much did media credentials cost for this event? What was needed for approval?

Well my camera is equipped with a 1000 megasquirtle light sensitive array with a megakilo double widget interface and a pseudo-terrafilter. its got 2 million hexafurtles with a 10 kiloplex and a rechargeable virtual combo-backplate. i also fitted an optical fillyfangle with predictive threshold histogram monitoring. it also has a light sensitive light meter and a time sensitive shutter mechanism.

I have no idea how to get the creds. I think the pass the gentleman let me use was from a photographer who had to leave earlier. Obviously, I was very grateful. The balloon owners were very nice. They invited me closer than I would gotten on my own and coordinated their burners with me. Way cool!

I only had a chance to process a few, will work on the others some time this week.

Both look a little dark to me after I uploaded them, will have to check my screen on my desktop that I did the editing on.

Ken, you are welcome! It was nice to share some credentials with you so you could get some nice closeups. I've uploaded a few of the 4,700 images I took over the weekend. They are not bad but I have realized that I have some dust on my sensor and it needs to be cleaned. Otherwise, there are some nice shots I think. My partner Bill Brady and I put our pics together and make a photo book for the festival organizers. Nice photos from everyone that has posted.

PS - If you think the earlier photo of the cow balloon Airabelle is wrong. Look at mine. Did they really need to sew the balloon that way under her tail? I think they did that on purpose. Hey look, a cow with three brown eyes!
