I googled the phone number, and name of the business. The only thing that came back was the ad on craigslist. I did the reverse number look-up, and its a t-mobile cell phone.

Interesting how they refer to the "Historic District" near downtown Ft Worth. I wonder if that would be the Stockyards, the Museum District or possible the area on the southside of I-30 near downtown. Entirely too vague in the location. I would think that they would want to identify exactly where they were if they were legit.

$250 per month? How many "days" of use do you get?
If they "limit" it to 50 photogs, you get about 3/4 of a day.

I don't see any particular problem with the text of the ad. Many people are not that good at typing into the small post boxes that are usually present when filling out the forms for ads or even posts to forums. They are the typical type of typos I see all the time. The information is there and the key thing is a phone number. I would simply call the number and talk to the people and find out what they have to offer. No need to speculate. Naturally they could have done a better job, but usually the types of people who set up these joint photographic ventures are not necessarily skilled in business and marketing, but may be good photographers. I used to be part of a group that had a full time studio in the "Historic" district which was down in the Stockyards area. There are many great places to shoot down in that area and I have shot there hundreds of times. So, who knows what these people may have to offer.
Oh well, these are just my random thoughts and musings.
Cheers,
Roger

"Cannon" . . . come on now . . . if you can't even spell CANON, you surely are not opening a studio!

Originally Posted by Shane "Cannon" . . . come on now . . . if you can't even spell CANON, you surely are not opening a studio! | What I'm saying is, that this is probably not an example of a spelling error, but rather a typo. It seems to me that people are making all sorts of speculations about what they (the people who placed the ad) offer and how much time you would get, and all these kinds of details, that could be asked of them by simply calling their number. I don't know who they are, or what they offer, but obviously someone is interested or this thread would not have been started.
Observation note: At least half of all the posts on TexasPhotoForum have typos and misspelling in them. I think people treat email communication much differently than they do more formal communication. I think we thus need to be more tolerant of the verisimilitude of ways that people can mess up the English language, and yet still get their point across.
With that heavy thought in mind, can anyone find the 17 errors that are in this photo? http://www.rfredricksmith.com/17errors.jpg
Cheers,
Roger

the fact that it's a "stududio" or that green screens are only relevent to videographers, or that "digital backdrops" have nothing to do with studios. Or.. that it mentions more about the "hip" waiting area and wine tasting while is states nothing about props, and nothing about lights other than "they are provided."
