I spent a lot of time here when it was Forum 303 Mall... Festival Marketplace never really took off as an idea.... and most recently, I spent a lot of time here at Chaos Haunted House. The haunt had to move to a new location when the demolition of the building was announced... they are making way for a new light industrial complex.

Not sure if I like this one in Black and White or not....

And a little HDR... this is where Montgomery Wards and the Haunted House used to be...

I worked at the Dillard's for a little while a few years back and that mall was pretty crappy by then. The indoor flea market actually had about 4 basic stands, most everybody there sold the same stuff. Oh and me and the people I worked with had our cars broken into AT LEAST one time in the few years we were there.

Yea.. kind of a melancholy feeling looking at the place.

Yipes! I agree with the melancholy sentiments. As I age, the passing of any landmark touches me.

When I married my wife she was working on her 2nd undergrad degree in '81 at UTA (she has since received a doctorate and just started working on a 2nd masters program) ... Jeesh !!! ... professional student !

We used to spend a lot of evenings walking through the mall... sad to see the fall .... thanks for sharing, it sparked a few memories for me.

We ended up calling that place the Dirt Mall... but it was always a great place for an apartment dweller like me to go hide his car during hailstorms... I'd always go in and have a drink or wander around...

I also had a 1st date with a REALLY hot blonde there back in the day... We went with my friends to see Hunt for Red October...

SIGH... That place has memories...
