Awesome - my two boys just entered the "Reflections Photo Contest" that LISD offered at their school - I was amazed with what they actually took and edited in PS . . . they learn fast nowadays!

I did the same thing. I learned on a Canon AE1 and have stayed with Canon since. I could not afford a Nikon. But Canon has finally came around the past 10-15 years to give Nikon a run for their money.
It is nice to know that it is not the camera but the operator who has the real power.

cute shots and about them navigating the computer. . . i can walk into the computer room and my three year old will be on the internet. . . playing on noggin.com, barbie.com, or playhousedisney.com, with tim mcgraw pulled up on the computers jukebox program, singing her "bird song" (Last Dollar) and playing games. . . IT NEVER FAILS TO AMAZE ME! She knows how to pull up my pictures in photo gallery. . . thank goodness she hasn't figured out how to edit or resave!

It is amazing how fast kids learn. My daughter (now 12) had a computer in her pre school class room. They had several programs form them to use. Now she is so good at using the computer. I have to ask her what is wrong with it at times. LOL

I like to see that you have a "computer room". That is a GOOD IDEA. We never let our kids have a computer, TV or phone in their room, not even their cell phones. We had a room (used to be the formal dining room) that everyone had their computer, we had a room for the TV, family room, and a room for the phone, kitchen. When they wanted to use the computer, TV or phone they had to come out of their private sanctuary and use it.
It solved so many problems for us as a family. Raise them that way and they will never know the difference. Keeping those devices out of their bedrooms kept our kids out of so many problems that other families had. We never had one major problem in raising our four kids. A lot of minor ones but no major ones. It forced the kids to interact with the rest of the family in order to use the computer, TV or phone. It was actually fun. As a family we all worked on our computers, while we shared and laughed late into the night. Those were some good times.

Agreed! The latest model home I built in Murphy has a huge "Learning Center" in it with built in desks for 2 computers as that is the new wave - parents want their kids to be out in the open when using the computer.
