DFW mid week daytime get together - Wilhoites in Grapevine !! - 10-25-2007, 11:28 AM

Wilhoites - 423 S. Main Grapevine- Tuesday Oct 30th - 12:00 noon

I know there are a bunch of TPF'ers who could get together during the day for lunch, etc.
I thought that the full timers, retired, part timers who are home, etc. would enjoy getting together for lunch to just meet a greet. It's good to listen to others, and to discuss our photography "habit".

Let me know:

1- best day of the week for you
2- best time during the DAY.
3- If it's not next door to your house, how far would you be willing to drive
4- location suggestions

Evenings would be great - preferrably thursday if at all possible would be best for me?

C.J. the point would be to get together during the DAY.
There are evening get togethers now and again, and I wanted to see if there was interest in a DAY TIME get together. During DAY LIGHT hours.

I'm usually available during the week except Fridays, as long as I am back in the Plano/Frisco area by 2pm at the latest. Brad, they serve rum during the day, but where is our rum drinker HH to enjoy it with us?

I am good with anything in the Mid-cities area to the west side of Dallas or anywhere in Fort Worth. Let me know I would love to meet you all and talk some shop and generally just talk and get to know you.

WOW... You don't want me there anyways - I can't even follow the most basic of instructions. :)

I'm in North Richland Hills - off rufe snow/820 - and I only have an hour to work with, so unless its reasonably close to where I'm at, I won't be able to attend unfortunately.

C.J. I tend to type with my tongue planted in my cheek. We'll keep your location in mind, and will let you know when and where we will meet.

I would not be able to do anything in Ft. Worth just because of the time constraints. That would give me about 10min to enjoy lunch.

I'm right at south Fort Worth, and I only have 1 hour, so travel time must be short for me.
I'm booked on Mondays, always.

I can usually make any day except Thursday before 2:00 p.m. with a weeks notice. Anywhere in the metroplex would be fine. I think moving it around would be a good idea. How about the first one at Babe's in Roanoke. That's pretty much in the middle. or some place in Grapevine.

I've seen that some of the other metro areas have had these week day get togethers. They move them around. If we get enough interest, maybe we can do it monthly and move it around to accomodate everyones preferences.

Everyone should put down exactly where they are located, then we can fire up google maps, pull out a protractor and calculate the best locations.

Grapevine might be reasonably convenient for most... and there are plenty of places to eat there.

(And LLG, no rum during the day is my rule, not the restaurants.... but regardless, as you pointed out, its just not the same without our favorite rum drinker along.)
