Hey guys!

Well, it looks like we are going to shoot a big motorcycle event with around 13 signature bands and 48 other bands, plus a rodeo, and a variety of other things that will be happening at the event. The cost is $45 which seems high, but it will be well worth it. You can also go back the next day which is included in that price. So, we will have the lecture from 10-12, lunch from 12-1, then the event from 1 until around 5 or whenever. After the event is over, we can either go back and see what you have, or you guys can go home and rest up, and you are invited to go out with me to shoot the Guardian Angels that night while they patrol the streets (it will either be Deep Ellum or lower Greenville, most likely). This is, of course, an optional freebie that I thought I would throw in. They don't start until 10pm, but things don't get crazy until around 2 or 2:30am. They stay out until 3-5am. The first part of the evening is pretty routine and not a ton of action, so you won't need to be concerned with your safety too much. As the night progresses, anything can happen. Last weekend, the police sprayed tear gas/pepper spray at the crowd to disperse them and there were also several people arrested for a big fight that broke out. If you decide to go, bring water and wear comfortable, cool clothes and shoes because we walk A LOT!!! Last weekend we walked Deep Ellum several times, then we walked from Deep Ellum all the way to the West End and back. They usually don't do that, but it just depends on what is going on. Finally, after the class, we will have a thread going so you can post your pictures on the forum, and others, as well as myself, can critique them for you. So, just another note, don't worry about the motorcycle thing being dangerous. We will be there during the day, and I really don't foresee any problems. It's just a big event with bands and such. There will be television crews and everything out there most likely. Get a lot of rest on Friday night, bring your sunscreen, and let's have some fun and get some great stuff!!
