Fall Photoshoot Areas in DFW? - 11-01-2007, 03:06 PM

Hey everyone! Quick question. My friends want me to do a fall photo of them for the holiday postcards. Anyone know of a great area to shoot these at? Maybe with alot of trees for when they start turning color. It needs to be somewhere between Frisco-ish area and south Dallas-ish. I am coming from Denton and they are coming from Waxahachie. Thanks for the help!

The Botanical gardens? Any local Park in the area, there is a good park in Richardson with waterfalls and trees around (http://www.texasphotoforum.com/forum...ad.php?t=22390), Ummm Just about any outdoor area with trees would be good, The arboretum, ect.

If you take some of the backroads off of Highway 5, I think it is, just past McKinney, they usually have some great trees and fall colors. Here's a link to some pics I shot out there with Norm Watters and Don Simmons at this same time last year: http://www.pbase.com/lscottpht/sunday_outing

There is two places that come to mind that is between you and them. Cedar Hill State Park and the Cedar Ridge Nature Preserve. The latter is free entry where you would have to pay at the State Park.

I second the thought of Cedar Ridge Preserve. Last fall there were a few places with nice color. I have not been out there lately though.
