Thoroughly enjoyed the TERRIFIC photojournalism seminar presented by Leslie Spurlock Saturday.

I haven’t sorted through my Guardian Angel photos yet, but can post some ‘event’ shots taken just prior to shadowing the Guardian Angels in Deep Ellum.

If you are squeamish, there is a small amount of blood. This particular event occurred at one of the area tattoo parlors and illustrates the process of a naval (aka - belly button) piercing. By the way, I did receive permission from the person receiving the naval piercing. <g>

Great shots thanks for sharing. It was nice of Leslie to get a piercing just for the opportunity to teach documentary photography! :-)

Thanks David, yes, I agree, Leslie went way ‘above and beyond’ the call of duty of photojournalism – ha! I hope she’s not too sore from the event. What a trooper!

Hehe!! Kevin, glad I could help you out with your storytelling stuff!! I just wanted to make sure everyone got their money's worth for the class!! Have I told you how much pain I am in??!! Actually, it's not so bad now, if I don't touch it, but I think it's crooked!!!!

Now Leslie, I think that is the perfectionist streak in you coming out – it looks straight to me. You know, I was wishing I had a different lens when taking the photos. So maybe we should go back down and re-shoot the whole experience – hah!

That's why she has a bandage in that other thread! I was trying to figure out how she injured herself during a GA shoot but now I know. Maybe I should start reading the posts from the top down instead of the bottom up. :lol:

Wo :shock: W I am glad I was teaching a lighting class and not a PJ class..LOL and again, I don't think the students would have enjoyed looking at my big belly been pierced! lol so it helped to have a good subject to photograph lol!

Looks like you guys had more fun then my lighting class :oops: :roll:
