My Best Patterned Animal Shots - Ft Worth Zoo - 11-27-2007, 11:21 AM

When I go to the zoo I have to shoot the patterned animals. They are my favorite. In my eyes there is just too much there, art wise, to not find a good shot. So here are my best to date shot at the Ft Worth Zoo and a few from the Tiger Shoot in McKinney. C&C is always welcome.

Nikon D40X, 70-300mm VR, Handheld, Baseball Cap and wedding ring on.

That 70-300 is one nice lens! Very good work.

One that only seems to be showing up on your computer. I can see it from 3 different computers now. Sorry.

while all very nice, that first shot is definitely my favorite. It's almost as though the zebra is thinking, "If I hide behind this fern, they can't see me"!

Excellent shots. I love how you caught the giraffe's tongue in the second shot.

Thanx Paul. It was funny because I actually got about 4 different tongue shots from that day. Here's another one.

All wonderful shots. I may point people here when they say they "NEED" at least a D200 and 70-200 to take a worthwhile shot.

Also confirms what I thought about shooting with a baseball cap on. Keeps the camera cool and allows for more saturated shots.

Thank you Keith. I also had on my lucky Spongebob socks too and that helps with getting high quality shots.

Have a great weekend!
