Yup. I've taken my D200 with my 28-70 f/2.8 and flash in there before. No problems. Plus, you tend to not get hassled by all of the employees that hang out at the front gate wanting to take your picture.

I took my 30D and 100-400 plus a lot more in my backpack in earlier this year in Dallas and San Antonio.

I had to check my pen knife at the gate in Dallas. I left it in the car at Fiesta Texas.

Why wouldn't they allow you to bring your camera?

I went not too long ago and they said "your not planning to take pictures of children in the park with that are you?" and I replied "so anyone with a camera like this is now days automatically written off as a pervert, huh?" and the guy let me in. I was with a group of friends.

Was shortly after that one guy was caught taking pictures of teens around the front gates.

Well my camera is equipped with a 1000 megasquirtle light sensitive array with a megakilo double widget interface and a pseudo-terrafilter. its got 2 million hexafurtles with a 10 kiloplex and a rechargeable virtual combo-backplate. i also fitted an optical fillyfangle with predictive threshold histogram monitoring. it also has a light sensitive light meter and a time sensitive shutter mechanism.
