Free Friday Night - 12-04-2007, 07:33 PM

My wife informed me yesterday that I had to vacate the premises on Friday Dec. 7 from 5:30 until midnight. It is girls night in and I am not welcome to stay even in the "inner sanctum" of my office.

So I am looking for something to do. Thought about going to the Stars game but not really in the mood for that. I want to shoot for myself. So is anyone game for an evening shoot. I am open to any location in the DFW area for some creative work. Let me hear from you.

What if we did a Christmas Lights shoot? I was just looking for a list of good areas to go shoot. Terry and I would be up for something

Maybe some others from the area would like to join us. Here is the list I have so far.
There is a house over in east Plano on Countess, close to Parker. They have 1000's of lights and they are set to music. You turn your car stereo to a certain bandwidth.

The Deerfield subdivision off Legacy

The Valley Creek area Club Lake. Well that street and the surrounding streets are known for their christmas light displays. We went down on Club Lake last week and was very pleasantly surprised to see each street with themes. Club lakes theme is disney movies and each street has a theme. That is if you want to go to Mckinney. I am going out tonight and will report about downtown Mckinney. I heard the downtown is nice with periwinkle lights.

Spring Park in Richardson/Garland located right off of 190 @ Jupiter/Shiloh
(They don't go as big of a production like they did years ago but still nice).

Firewheel Mall is doing fireworks every Saturday night.

NorthPark Mall is ALWAYS cool to visit. Ducks in the water features inside, the water fountains, the trains, the Marionette Shows. If you have never been to this mall and especially at Christmas, it is a MUST.

There is a home in Rowlett (right off of Rowlett Rd on Dogwood) and the man and his wife dress up as Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. The house lights are TOTALLY COOL (neon) and they are SUPER SWEET!

Don't forget Frisco Square! They had a huge choreographed light display there last year-- I believe they're doing it this year, too...it was awesome!
