An event I found on the "interweb". Don't know anything about it but it might have some good photo ops.

IRC in celebration of World Refugee Day 2005
When: 1:00-4:00 pm, Saturday, August 6, 2005
Where: Flag Pole Hill, located at White Rock Lake

What: A celebration to raise awareness about refugees with entertainment, international vendors, and more! Admission is FREE!

I've actually photographed that event before for the IRC. The IRC is a great organization. I photographed it a couple of years ago, but it was held inside. It was a great opportunity to see some mult-cultural performers and hear some incredible speakers. I also went behind the scenes and photographed the groups getting ready to go on stage. I'm not sure what it will be like since it is outside, but it's worth going to.
