Lessons? Please?

I am wondering if someone in the Dallas area can help me out. I want to learn but all this reading is just not working...I need to be hands on and see how it all works. I'd be willing to pay someone for lessons but I can't afford much. I'd also be willing to trade (mm # 128727) either posing for you or I can cook a good meal. I make great cupcakes. Is there anyone willing to teach me about lighting? I can't even use flash and get the results I want so any help will be forever appreciated...or if you can point me in the right direction...

I would be willing to help. I live and work in Plano near Custer and McDermott. We can get together and work on what you would like to learn more about. I would be willing to let you go on some assignments with me and I can explain what I do and why. Let me know. Don't have a lot of time right now but I can give you a few hours.

Wow...that really generous of you! I live near McDermott and Custer and would love to tag along with the two of you. I'm still pretty green myself, especially when it comes to lighting/flash.

No problem. A wedding is good though because it will give you the most variety in light in one day from dark venues, to barely lit receptions to nice outdoor shots that just require a little fill.

What kind of things are you wanting to learn? I also provide private lessons and I've taught Con-Ed classes for DCCCD for several years. I am also in North Plano.

Check out the DYI network on TV. They have a show called The Perect Picture, they show a lot of great tips.
