What is a "TFCD basis"?

I'm sure they are looking for ameture photographers that want to expand their portfolio - but it doesn't hurt to ask for a fee.

let's not start a free gig vs. paid gig debate...
we've seen too many of those as of late. if you're not interested in the opportunity then simply do not respond.

Does this type of inquiry fall into the same catagory of breaking the rules? Just curious.
Also, just my thoughts.. There are tons of "debates" that come up ALL THE TIME (Apple/PC, Nikon/Canon, etc)... Why this particular subject?
Getting paid to do ones craft is pretty important and a passionate issue for many...I'd think they are just as valid as any of the other debates.
Just my opinion. I am sure I'll be in trouble for it...
" 18. Models, Modeling Agents & Soon to be Brides
This is first and foremost a Photography Forum, Models, Modeling Agents and Soon to be Brides are not allowed to solicit photographers. There are plenty of other means to which a photographer can be found that will suit your needs."

Actually, I asked a similar question on that thread as well and the deal is, other photographers looking for people to accept work (free or paid) is cool on the forum as it is more an issue of networking etc. and not soliciting. Robin would shoot this, but can't due to other obligations. So she is passing it along to someone that will benefit.
What isn't allowed: Models, Brides/Grooms, etc. actually looking to do the hiring using the forum as a place to place an "ad" for the cheapest photographer.

Ok. Well rule 18 doesn't read that exact way and I interpret it differently. Regardless, I am out of this conversation...I need to take a break from forums for awhile.

Just curious. | that was a groom to be... we do not allow models and/or bride to be's to solicit photgraphers on our site. there are plenty of other sites available for that. photographers that are members here that may have an event to cover or a wedding from a client that he/she can not cover can post that info here on TPF to see if someone can fit the bill. its different when a contiributing member offers up and opportunity versus a bride to be which after a photog is found will never return to TPF much less add some value. Why this particular subject? | because this area is just like a religious debate, no matter what is said by one side to the other neither will detract from their stance. it ends in a stalemate with a lot of hurt feelings. plus its always the same people making the same arguments for either side. debates like that have no business in a thread like this simple because its hijacking the thread... if someone can not add to the original poster's thread in regards to taking on the assignment then let others chime in that can.
