Old Warehouse? - 01-11-2008, 12:12 PM

Anyone know of an cool warehouse or abandon building type places to shoot in the DFW area legally?

I have a band that is looking for that sort of look for a shoot.

We have an old prison in Nashville where we have shot before, and it works great, but it would sure save everyone some money if we could do it around the DFW area instead.

Thanks,
Todd

Long time no see. I just opened your book again a couple of weeks ago.

Cool man... I was at MusicFest this weekend in Steamboat, and they were selling the book. I look back on it now and realize how much I didn't know when I did that. haha

Cynthia,
Is that place in Arlinton open to the public? I am not having much look finding an aold building or warehouse where we can shoot.

Todd, its not free but you might try The Old Cottonmill in McKinney. It's $50 for an hour.

I don't know how legal or not it is but if your okay with some horrible smells and the "i'm being watched" feeling check out the abandoned grain mills around ft worth. I did a shoot for a friend who was looking for some album shots and we were both very happy with how it turned out. I had a glock with me the whole time though... If it hadn't been there I might have been a little less on board with the whole outing.

Have you tried shooting in small towns, like in the back alleys? I have done shoots in Mansfield that kind of have that abandoned feel to them.
