I haven't tried Mesquite but I had no problems at Fort Worth and that was also with a 70-200 lens attached. Also you going to have some less than good lighting at Fort Worth so be prepared.

Well, they let me sit there and shoot with a D3 and 200/2 combo so I'm figuring you could bring in a 600mm and they'd only ask you to please buy it a seat.
