Hey Tom. I can't believe I didn't see you. You might have been on the other side of the building from me. I'm downloading mine right now. I can't wait to see what I have.
Those fumes were wicked. I was out there for about two hours and I am coughing like crazy and have the worse headache ever.
I was at 33 & Sylvania. Where were you?
Great shots, BTW...KILLER!

Well we had a get together and didn't even know it. I shot at first from the overpass near I35 and then went to the Command Post and shot some from there. It was pretty amazing!

Nice shots!

I was on the southwest side of the site. The smoke was going just east of me, so I didn't have to deal with it. If you caught the channel five news coverage, I was with them when they arrived, and we were all told to leave because they thought the whole block might go up. Since I didn't have any credentials, the police wouldn't let me back over to the north side where the command post, and best sight line was. I also was just carrying my Nikon cp8800 which is not the best tool for this kind of job. It is way too slow for spontaneous anything..... Perhaps if I had had the 20D, grip, white lens, etc. they would have let me through??
