Thats a nice shot! I definately need a good shot of downtown Dallas for my collection. Hmmm if I get a chance I might head that way tonight. I was planning on doing a car shoot in Richardson of my Trans Am tonight but the night shot has me going lol

OK - so with the new Methodist parking garage being less than optimal it looks like Trammell Crowe Park down in the Trinity greenbelt is still one of if not the best places to get a picture of downtown.

Here's a map of the location:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...&t=h&z=14&om=0

And here's a shot I took there a couple years ago:

So, I was thinking of looking for a time where I could get the moon in the right spot during a sunset shot if that's even possible. Should I try to figure that out and would anyone like to do a group shot there?

OK, after doing a little research it looks like Friday April 18, 2008 at 7:55 PM CDT the moon will be 2 days away from being full and in just the right position to get the shot I want at the time of day/night I want. In other words I have to wait for 3 months for the stars to align.

So, if anyone wants to go with me keep that date open on your calendar and let's hope for clear skies that night.

John,

I've put the date in my calendar. Sounds like it will be a good shot if the weather is good.

I put this on my calendar as well. I have always wanted a nice dallas skyline shot and had read that this location was good. However I never got around to it. Maybe if I put it on my calendar I will actually go out and shoot it.

Well, I don't have a big fancy DSLR like you guys, but I still would like to join! I wish I could get a shot like that! I'll add it to my calendar and see what happens by then! Maybe I'll have a better camera! :)
