Need location for 2/2/08 shoot - 2 cars. - 01-31-2008, 12:47 PM

Does anyone have ideas on a good place to shoot a 2005 Mustang and a 64 1/2 Mustang - both black - both convertibles? I need to get it done 2/2/08 in time for Dallas AutoRama on 2/15/08.

Are you wanting indoor or outdoor? With this wind, I'm not sure where a good outdoor location would be right now. I think that LightTec has a rental studio large enough to put a car or two in.

While the space at LightTec is large enough, they lack a door to get the vehicles in there. I know it's weird, but that's the issue. You can check with Miguel or Scott there to verify.

What about some road that deadends. Park the cars in the middle of the road. A large parking lot that is empty but the two cars.

Well, that would be a major deterrent to shooting there! For some reason, I thought they did have a way to get a vehicle in, but as Scott says, Miguel or Scott at LightTec can set you straight on that.

My thought exactly... the wind is a major issue as is dust and dirt. The cars will be shot individually (2 shoots) although putting them together would be awesome too. :) Any leads on an inexpensive (i.e. free) indoor alternative?

Well, didn't someone post something about having access to a parking garage in the Dallas area recently. That might be an option. Otherwise, I'm pretty much out of ideas. Sorry.

I know this is kind of late but I did mine at a vacant parking garage in Richardson off Plano and Campbell Rd.. I may take the Eclipse out there tonight for a few shots

txsaphoto, I am in the same situation as you. I am looking for a location to photograph a friends Mustang Cobra. I am looking for an outdoor site once the flora green up. I live in far north east Dallas County. Some considerations that I am looking at are some local parks, ball fields, and lake locations.

Good luck. -G
