Need Mansfield Location... - 02-20-2008, 03:04 PM

I have a family portrait session here in a few weeks and the family is wanting to stay near their home, but want to do a park or such for their photos. Does anyone have a spot that they'd recommend? I'm not too familiar with that area, but pretty good with directions (aren't all men )

Thanks,

Jake~

There is a new park connected to Rose Park. I can't remember the name, but it is on the corner of Pleasant Ridge and 157 (Cooper) right behind the post office. There is an awesome ampitheatre of natural stone that is really nice.

There are a bunch of parks in the area. My house backs up to Red Kane Park (157/Cooper and Hardisty)... There is another large park on Sublett between Cooper and Bowen (name escaping me right at the moment).

If they do not mind driving to north Arlington... There is River Legacy Park which has lots of paths and is very large.

Vandergrif Park is another option. There really are quite a few in this area. Just naming a few off the top of my head..

Good Info, I live in mansfield and wasn't aware of the parks above..been out to Rose Park. Nice trail, nice warf over the small pond. Also have Joe Pool Lake that isn't far away.

I never thought about River Legacy - great idea...not too close to them, but it isn't far either. And there is a ton of space out there.
