Well, there's Arbor Creek Nature Preserve off of Parker and Midway area (Plano)... there is the Elm Fork Nature Preserve in the Coppell area (dont remember the exact streets). Both are good flowery locations that I know of. Elm Fork is a great place for Bluebonnets come mid March - early April typically.

Those are just a couple off the top of my head. I have not been to those locations this month, so not sure how many flowers are actually blooming as of yet, but with the warm weather (well... random warm weather) I imagine they've started. Hope that helps!

Thanks. I'll go check it out today.

I asked since the field behind my office building had few wild flowers blossomed. I took several pictures of those and would be great to take more since the weather is beautiful.

What kind of flowers were there at your builidng?

Texas wildflowers usually start in the next few weeks. You shouldn't expect to see bluebonnets until mid-April.

We had such a warm, dry winter, we may not have much of a wildflower season here... bluebonnets in particular need two things: A wet fall (which we did not have) and a couple hard freezes (which we also did not have).... without them, we may have a lame bluebonnet season (again). :(

There wasn't anything interesting to photograph after 3 miles of walking the trails at the Arbor Creek Nature Preserve besides a muddy shoes :(

All the plants and trees were still dry and the trails were extremely muddy.

I don't recommend going there yet. Maybe in another two weeks???

I'll post few pics here shortly.

Not an eagle.. looks like maybe a Cooper's Hawk... but I'm no expert.

Micheal,

The pics are really pretty!! I wouldn't have imagined they were merely from "behind your office building" if you didn't tell us so.

I was at Arbor Hills, not much in the way of flowers, but PLENTY of butterflies
