Anyone know if there are camera/lens restrictions for the Butterfly Exhibit in the Conservatory at FWBG? Photos would be just for me with no commercial usage or sales intended. Also, as I recall reading somewhere, there is a no tripod rule but don't know if that includes monopods as well...
Best lens choice? Best day to go? Any other hints you might care to share?

Thanks for any info you may be able to provide...

Last time I went I had no problem because of my !D pro series camera. But I believe there is a tripod monopod restriction. The reason is logical, because the isles are narrow twisty and crowded. A pod would restrict traffic flow measurably.

I'd try to go during the week and not on Spring Break, although I imagine there will be more kids at the zoo than at the botanic gardens.

There is def. a tripod rule in the Japanese gardens; you have to pay a fee if you plan to use one. Good to know the indoor exhibit might outlaw pods as Paul said.

Not sure.. but guess the monopod restriction is probably accurate. I have a wedding to shoot there tomorrow...(Not at the exhibit however...LOL).
