Anyone seen a Carnival in DFW? - 03-25-2008, 12:47 PM

Has anyone seen a carnival around town? Preferably in North Dallas but at this point I'll take anything. I missed the one near 635 and Preston. Anyone?

I found one in Frisco last week for an engagement session. Here's one from the session. Thanks all! Let me know what you think.

There's one in the parking lot of the Ridgelea mall in Ft Worth off I30 and GreenOaks. (West of downtown, close to the NAS base.)

At least it was still there Sunday afternoon. the 23rd.

Good luck!

The one at Ridgmar Mall in FW is not there now. It was probably just there last week when most of the FW schools were on Spring Break. Too bad because I would have liked to have taken some pix. I'm sure someone will have ride around for Cinco de Mayo (which coincidentally is my birthday).

They haven't minded when I've done it in the past... just let them know what you are doing and why (for yourself) and they are usually cooperative... especially if biz is slow.

I don't know where they are now but you could call Talley Amusements and ask for their schedule. I couldn't find it on line.

Don't know of any carnivals, but there is a circus in Allen this weekend. Near McDermott & 75.

I'm in FW, but not that familiar with the South FW area. Can you give more details about the one off 820 and Forest Hill, please?

Thanks,

Michael

Check the Web site for Kelly Moore and see where they will be. I think it's the nearest to us and travels around here a lot.

I have photographed at public Carnivals and State Fairs for years. I walk around with bags of equipment, tripods and the like. I have never been confronted or even asked what I was doing. I make it very obvious to anyone looking what I am doing and people don't mind. Relax and enjoy it.

Carry a neutral density filter and shoot, shoot, shoot.

I-20 and Forest Hill exit, just east of I35W. From where do you need directions? I saw this yesterday driving to Mansfield. Looks pretty large as far as carnivals go.
