I spent Friday and Saturday afternoon out at Love Field last week, getting both takeoff and landing photos.

Wow!!! An XP-51, or a very early P-51. Good find. Was that guy from the Museum Display, or does it live elsewhere, or elsewhere at Love Field?
Nice Bomber shots too BTW!

I believe it was part of the bomber tour by the Collings Foundation. They were offering flight training in it ($2200/30 minutes or $3000/60 minutes).

Oh yeah. I've seen that page. I didn't know it was going yo be at Love Field though.
I don't think the P-51 made it to Alliance or Denton. At least it wasn't at Alliance, along with the bombers, when I was up there.

just purchased by the collings foundation.

actually a "c" model mustang - the last variant to have the enclosed canopy.
