If you get a chance to head out to Thurber, there ain't much left. But jutting into the sky is the Thurber smokestack. You can read a good wrap up on the town here.

Here is my take on the smokestack. I was trying to go with a theme of de-evolution/decay, and evolution/progress.

Any thoughts? Hopefully, this is more than just a 'snapshot.' Ideally, I wish the bricks were redder, and a little more decay evident, but c'est la vie. I appreciate your comments.

You didn't get any of the smokestack itself? I love the restaurant, they have some of the best chicken fried steak and Dublin Dr. Pepper. I took some shots out there last year also. I'd like to see some more if you can. Thanx

I did get some others of the smokestack, but didn't try the chicken fried steak. The Hard 8 at Stephenville also has Dublin Dr. Pepper, and, of course, you are only about 30 minutes from Dublin, home of Dublin Dr. Pepper.

Here is the smokestack, and poor photo shop attempt at being "artsy?"

And the artsy:

Thanks for looking.
