Dallas World Aquarium - 03-30-2008, 09:56 AM

Recently made a trip to the Dallas World Aquarium and I had a blast. I thought I would share a few photos I took.

This was my first time out with my new D60 and first time photographing Aquarium life. I think they turned out pretty well.

Great pictures! I was there a couple weeks ago, and it was great.

You might want to invest in something like noise ninja as there is a little bit of noise, but overall they are really really great!

Yeah they turned out pretty noisy. I was messing with my ISO setting and ended up just messing up haha. This is my first DSLR so I'm pretty lost but just trying to get by.

Dont be hard on yourself, they came out great!

Its pretty dark in there so its not just you. I had to shoot around 800iso at 2.8 in order to get good sharp shots.

I like them all. IMO, the grain (noise) actually adds to the images in a positive way. Noise is not necessarily always a bad thing and it certainly works in these.

The last one is a great shot and the better of the 3. It's as if the clown fish is debating whether or not he wants to venture out of his cave. The lighting is also perfect as well. With regards to the first, it's a little weaker since the subject is almost dead center. Maybe place the fella a little more to the left showing more of his terrain.

Overall, I think you did great.

Love that place. "Aquarium" doesn't really do it justice.
