Just wanted to say "hi". I registered for this forum after seeing a link to it from another photography forum I frequent. I'm an amateur who's been shooting for 15 years - the first 14 with a Nikon film SLR system and the last year with a Canon DSLR.

Welcome! You'll find a lot of great people here, most willing to help.

I say welcome even though you are a Nikon traitor!

Thanks Tom and David!

I'm actually not a complete Nikon traitor. I still have both of my old 8008 bodies and a couple Nikkor lenses and an SB-24. I just don't use them anymore.

Actually I have no brand prejudices. A good photographer can make great images with a Canon, Nikon, or FED-2!

A do kind of wish I still had the Agfa rangefinder - that was my first camera!

I love your Dallas skyline. Where did you shoot that from?

Thanks! The night shot was taken from the top of the Methodist Medical center parking garage on Beckley & Colorado in Oak Cliff. The shot with the pond was taken from Trammel Crow park (Sylvan Ave just south of Irving Blvd). Both of those are good places to take some Dallas Skyline pictures.

Welcome to the forum!

It's good to see more people from our area joining, especially canon users.
